Friday Focus: Put your reader in the middle

"The most improbable tales can be made believable, if your reader, through his sense, feels certain that he stands at the middle of events."
~Ray Bradbury

This is a good one for fantasy writers - I think we all need this kind of reminder every now and then! =)

Happy Friday!

Jessica, I'm in the middle of a children's fantasy and stuck on the improbability of the thing - I must copy that quote and stick it on my study wall! Thanks!

Since I write light contemporary fantasy, I sure hope Mr. Bradbury is right. ;)

Hi, Snip. Thanks for the quote. That's one of those that returns your focus to perhaps the singular thing of importance with regard to our writing.
I hope you are well. Take care and have a great weekend.

Great quote. How I wish it were easy to put the reader there! I suppose that's the goal we all go for, right?
